Wide field of view, high optical performance, lightweight and ergonomic.
With their extra-wide field of view and high optical performance, the 8x40 S, 10x50 S and 8-16x40 S models are ideal for observing nature, wildlife, birds or sporting events. Aspherical lenses ensure sharp images right to the edges while reducing distortion, while the coated lenses and prisms deliver crystal clear, bright, high-resolution images. Focusing is from 4, 6 or 10 m, depending on the model. Users can choose between 8x or 10x magnification or a powerful 8-16x zoom.

Wide field of view
The extra-wide field of view makes it easy for users to find objects and track fast-moving subjects. This makes Olympus' standard 8x40 S, 10x50 S and 8-16x40 S binoculars ideal companions for nature and wildlife viewing as well as sporting events.

High optical power for minimal chromatic aberration
High optical power ensures minimal distortion and chromatic aberration, resulting in sharp, clear images right to the edges. Equipped with high-quality optics including aspherical lenses, these Porro prism binoculars guarantee distortion-free viewing. Lenses and prisms are coated. Users can look forward to high-resolution results with excellent transmission - even in low light thanks to the large objective lens diameter. The 8x40 S with 8x magnification and the 10x50 S with 10x magnification are ideal for discovering the wonders of nature. The zoom of the 8-16x40 S is always an advantage when the user has no way to get closer to the object.

Lightweight and ergonomic design
Mobility and ease of use were key considerations in the design of Olympus' standard 8x40 S, 10x50 S and 8-16x40 S binoculars. All elements have been arranged to make the binoculars particularly lightweight and compact. The special elastic polymer coating for a secure grip and less light reflection makes the new Olympus binoculars the ideal tool for observing wildlife and birds. Quick and easy focusing is made possible by the large focus wheel, which took its popular, user-friendly shape from Olympus' HighEnd models.

Other product features:
Aspherical lenses to prevent distortion
Long eyepiece distance, adjustable up and down
Quick and easy focusing with convenient focusing wheel
Built-in diopter correction to adjust to personal viewing needs
