AnalyserPro
With this device you can make black and white enlargements with just a few test strips. The AnalyserPro can be combined with any enlarger and is suitable for exposing fixed-grade and multigrade paper.
This exposure, measuring and switching device for enlargers has a tone value indicator for predetermining gradation and exposure.
According to the motto: "Necessity is the mother of invention", the device was developed by photographers for photographers.
Some laboratory exposure meters display a paper gradation and exposure time after measuring the negative, which reproduce the shadows with maximum blackness and the high lights with paper white in the enlargement.
This is not always desirable, especially in portrait photography.
In contrast, the Analyzer Pro shows the tone values with which the measured negative areas are reproduced in the positive.
If you change the gradation and/or the exposure time using the keyboard, you can see the effects on the tonal value scale in the display.
The analyzer reduces the number of sample enlargements. You can see the expected result without using a single sheet of photographic paper.
The darkening of the wet print is also taken into account, as the display shows the tonal values of the dry enlargement.
The factory pre-calibration for several well-known multigrade papers can be optimally adjusted to your devices, materials and processing methods using a simple calibration method.

Analyzer 500
This version of the analyzer can be connected to the Ilford System 500.
The general functions and the light sensor correspond to the basic device. The two lamps in the Ilford lighting head are controlled directly. Operation without the Ilford control unit is NOT possible. This device is available on request.

Making an enlargement
In white light, measure at least 2 points, e.g. in the highlights and shadows of the projected negative.
Use the buttons to change the exposure time and gradation until the measuring points are displayed on the tone value scale in the desired range.
When using multigrade paper, set the gradation on the enlarger and then start the exposure time.

The measuring device is calibrated in 2 passes (sensitivity and copy range) for all full gradation levels.
Up to eight measuring points of 5 mm diameter per negative.
