With our Foto Koch Mysterybox x Krolop & Gerst, we send a surprise package full of photo highlights to the studio every month â and let Martin Krolop, usually together with Thilo, find out in front of the camera what we have packed in it this time.
Sometimes it's about exciting Lenses, sometimes about useful accessories, sometimes about an entire topic that runs through the box. Always included: honest reactions, technical depth, personal assessments and the joy of not just looking at technology, but actually discussing it. That's what makes this format so special.
For years,Krolop & Gerst have stood for photography with attitude, practical relevance and enthusiasm â from lighting and studio work to workshops and in-depth technical topics. The April Mysterybox #4: Travel challenge spin-off with Julia and Oliver
In April, the Foto Koch Mysterybox becomes a travel challenge with the agony of choice: In addition to the classic unboxing, this time it's time to split up the team, choose equipment and go on a big tour. Julia and Oliver from Team Krolop & Gerst compete against each other with two different camera systems - compact versus full-frame, flexibility versus maximum image quality. The video is not just about unpacking, but above all about the crucial question: which combination do you take with you when you have to make a decision and what does this choice mean in practice later on? Once again, there is extensive discussion, weighing up and talking shop about which equipment really makes sense on the road and where you have to make compromises. A box that shows how much influence the right (or wrong) decision can have on the final vacation picture.

In March, the Foto Koch Mysterybox will be surprisingly down-to-earth â but anything but boring. Martin and Thilo are expecting a monothematic tripod special with three freshly revised carbon models from Rollei, which are not only stable, but also offer plenty of creative application possibilities.
