The new Voigtländer 35 mm/1:1.5 aspherical VM Type I and II combine three characteristics: small size, high speed and excellent optical performance.
As "the" standard focal length on rangefinder cameras, 35 mm is a popular choice - and Voigtländer currently offers five lenses of this focal length. Each of these Lens has its own unique, special characteristics. The new 35 mm/1:1.5 VM is the result of the search for a new standard lens that combines the best of these characteristics.

All types share the optical system with 6 groups and 9 elements, two double-sided aspherical lenses guarantee high optical performance at all apertures. The minimum focusing distance is 50 cm and therefore offers significantly more reserves at close range than the 70 cm offered by the optical viewfinder (depending on the camera type).

Two versions are available:
Type I is made of aluminum, only available in black, weighs only 188 g and is easy to handle with a length of only 36 mm.
Type II is made of solid brass with the same overall length, weighs 284 g and is available in a black or silver finish.

These full-frame Lens are designed for use with digital and analog cameras with rangefinder, of course they can also be used with Sony E-mount, Fujifilm X-mount and Nikon Z-mount digital cameras with our corresponding Voigtländer adapters.

The optional lens hoods LH-4N with slits and LH-12 in classic style are compatible for both Lens.

Key features:
"Retro look" and styling
Double-sided aspherical lenses for outstanding optical performance
Extremely stable and durable all-metal lens barrel
Manual focus for reliable focusing
Minimum focusing distance of 0.5 m
Beautiful bokeh with 12 aperture blades
