High-performance lens with outstanding sharpness performance for the full-frame image sensors of Canon RF-mount mirrorless cameras [1] .

Key features:
outstanding optical performance thanks to GA lens element
special design for the Canon RF mount
data communication with the camera body via electronic contacts
robust and durable all-metal lens barrel
manual focus for reliable fine focusing
floating elements for consistently high image sharpness
12-Louvre diaphragm for beautiful bokeh
Selective aperture control enables stepless operation for video recordings
Excellent optical performance with outstanding sharpness
Extremely solid and high-quality construction

The new Voigtländer 50 mm F1.0 Nokton aspherical RF-Mount is our first lens for the RF bayonet.

Like our previous Noktons with 50 mm focal length and a speed of F1.0, it is a high-performance lens with manual focus, which has been optimized for the full-frame image sensors of the mirrorless Canon RF-Mount [1] cameras. Another significant difference to the already known Noktons with this speed and focal length is the simple and ingenious switching option from stepped to stepless aperture adjustment. This means that this lens is also predestined for impressive video recordings!

By manufacturing an aspherical lens from a glass material with a high refractive index (grinding aspherical lens), we have created an ultra-bright lens that is portable despite its maximum F1 aperture. The use of a floating element in the lens construction also ensures consistently high image sharpness from the shortest shooting distance of 45 cm to infinity.

Focusing is manual via a metal ring with a fine diamond pattern, which enables excellent and precise focusing. The aperture is controlled via a mechanical ring on the Lens. The aperture consists of 12 diaphragm blades, which enable the photographer to create soft out-of-focus areas and conjure up a great bokeh.

A metal lens hood is included in the scope of delivery.

The lens is equipped with electronic contacts for communication between the lens and the Body. In addition to the Exif information and the camera's own 3-axis image stabilization [2], the lens supports three types of focus functions (magnification, peaking and focus guidance [3]) are all supported.
