The Braun Scouting Cam Black200A mini wildlife camerafor discreet hunting ground and property surveillance by day + night

Game cameras provide foresters and hunters with valuable insights into their hunting grounds. However, photo traps can also be used to monitor objects such as allotment gardens or garages and to prevent theft and vandalism. The Braun Scouting Cam Black200A Mini was developed for very special surveillance tasks.

However, deterrence is not the main aspect of mini cameras. When using these very small, ultra-light and almost camouflaged cameras, the aim is to observe processes and areas, both during the day and at night. The special feature of the camera is that it can be powered by four conventional AA batteries or optionally by two rechargeable 18650 batteries or an external 6V 1.5A power supply unit.

No separate charger is required to charge the batteries. The batteries can be charged both via the USB-C connection (5V) and via the 6V DC connection of the camera with a power supply unit. Neither rechargeable batteries nor batteries and mains adapter are included in the scope of delivery. When using 18650 rechargeable batteries, the standby time can be extended by around two months to a total of approx. 8 months. As the name suggests, the Black200A Mini stands out due to its small dimensions of just 115 x 98 x 72 (HxWxD) mm and its very low weight of just 195 grams.

The high-quality 2 MP CMOS image sensor used delivers very good color images with up to 20MP image resolution during the day. The Scouting Cam Black200A Mini also delivers videos with a length of up to ten minutes and a full HD resolution of 1080p at 30fps. As soon as the daylight fades, the 32 black infrared LEDs are activated and illuminate the scene. For technical reasons, all images are then recorded in black and white at night, with a maximum night vision and trigger distance of 20 meters. The trigger time is just 0.2 seconds.

Braun supplies the Scouting Cam Black200 WiFi Mini in a robust body and with a PIR motion detector with a detection radius of 90° and 32 black IR LEDs (850nm) for night-time recording. The compact and waterproof camera housing complies with protection class IP66. The Braun Scouting Cam Black200A Mini has a 2.4'' color TFT display for image control of the recordings, which are stored on a micro SD card (up to max. 512GB, AVI and JPG format), as well as for making the desired camera settings.

Useful time-lapse recordings (video or photo) are also possible with the wildlife camera. The operating temperatures range from -20 degrees to +50 degrees. The Braun Scouting Cam Black200A Mini also has an integrated microphone, password protection and displays the date, time, moon phase and temperature. The scope of delivery also includes a tree mount and a fastening strap to fix the camera to a tree. Alternatively, it can also be placed independently on a tripod or with a tree screw.

In addition to conventional AA batteries, the Braun Scouting Cam Black200A Mini is also compatible with 2x 18650 rechargeable batteries
